Help Protect our Precious Native Birds

Please stay away from the nesting birds. That means both you and your dog !!

Dudley Bell and his assistants have checked the Penguin population up at Kohunui Bay (North Piha) and the Penguins have returned from sea. There's also grey faced petrels making their home in the area with the penguins.

Unfortunately there are also plenty of dog footprints up there and this is a NO DOG area of our beach

We know Piha Beach is a busy place and a great place for dogs to exercise, but please obey the rules and keep your dogs away from the bird nesting areas.
