Piha R&R News Update - 4th January
HAPPY NEW YEAR to evryone and Hello Summer. We seem to have waited a long time for some of the warmth and sunshine that we expect at this time of the year !
With the summer influx of visitor traffic on Piha Road, we ask you to please drive safely and at all times expect that a driver unfamiliar with our road may be speeding or over the centre-line. Be patient with slow drivers.
If you see visitors swimming outside the flagged areas, or putting themselves at risk, say something. You may sane a life. And if needed, advise our amazing Surf Lifeguards.
Piha R&R AGM (Annual General Meeting): As a departure from past years, the Piha R&R Association AGM will be held at Barnett Hall on Saturday, 31st January, 2026 at 2:00pm. All welcome to bring your thoughts and ideas that may help your community Association to support initiatives and efforts to maintain and enhance our unique and cherished coastal village. New committee members always welcomed.
Piha Community News: The latest edition o0f the PCN is now available, so get your copy from the Piha Store, Library, or Piha Post Office. Members free copy is available from the Piha Post Office.
Piha R&R Membership Fees ($25) and Piha Community Post Office Box rental Fees ($125 Including required Membership) are now due: See below for payment details.
Membership: We encourage all those in the Piha community to become members. Strong membership gives us a strong voice to advocate with Council for improved services, maintenance and infrastructure for Piha. Fees are currently $25 per member for the year. (1st November, 2024 thru 31 October, 2025.) This includes free copies of the Piha Community News. Please support your community. Make payment to Piha R&R Account 12-3051-0262370-00 Existing Members note your name in the details. New Members, please complete the Membership Form HERE.
