Piha R&R Response - Glenesk Rd - Speed Bump Proposal
Piha R&R have been lobbying for speed reduction measures in the Piha community areas for many years.
More recently. in 2022 residents of Genesk Road asked that we lobby for speeed bumps to reduce speeds and improve safety for pedestrians walking to Kitekte Falls.
Piha R&R received comment from several parties in the area. Some wwere forspeed bumps and some had reservations
The primary concern of Piha R&R Members has always beewn Pedestrian Safety, so our submission on this issue refcted that position and asked for a “Shared Zone” approach for pedestrian safety for the whole of Piha.
