Auckland Council Annual Plan 2026-27 - Have your Say till March 29

Public consultation is now open for Auckland’s Annual Plan 2026/2027.

NOTE regarding the Waitākere Rural Sewerage Scheme and the letter you have received from Auckland Council.

1.      The letter says, “We are seeking your feedback on the above options as part of our Annual Plan 2026-2027 consultation process.”  There are no specific questions in the Feedback Form on this subject !! So you need to make a separate note in your submission.

 2.       NOTE that the Targeted Rate for a 3 year pump out is SEPARATE to the requirement to provide an inspection report every three years.

 3.      If you do not want the Council to do a 3 yearly pump out, you will still be required to provide a 3 yearly inspection report under the Safe Septic Programme requirements.

 4.      We recommend that you opt to KEEP the “Waitākere Rural Sewerage Scheme and the associated targeted rate”, but lobby to have an inspection by the Council contractor be included in the pump out processand Targeted Rate.
