Auckland Council are preparing shoreline adaptation plans across the region in partnership with mana whenua and local communities.

• look at how we can adapt Auckland Council-owned land and assets to respond to coastal hazards and climate change over the next 100 years

• promote the preservation and restoration of the coastal environment for future generations.

• We want to know what you value about the Whatipu to South Head shoreline, and what you use it for.

  This will help us to:

  • identify areas of importance to the community

  • understand community values and connections to the coast

  • make suitable plans to help manage the changing shorelines.
