Road Repairs and Closures - Scenic Drive & Piha Road from Sept. 29

Auckland Transport have advisedtwo road repaeir projects, both starting on Monday September 29th.

1) Piha Road, near Number 75, (below the scenic lookout,) will be subject to ine lane closure and traffic contral from 29 Sept. (as below.)

Downer on behalf of Auckland Transport (AT) will be extending the existing retaining wall, upgrading the road surface, and making safety improvements to this site near 75 Piha Road.

We will use a mix of temporary traffic signs (like stop/go signs) and traffic lights, and a lower speed limit through this site. Please follow the traffic management instructions at all times. Works will take up to four months, weather dependent.

2) Scenic Drive, between numbers 459 & 469, (between Piha Road and West Coast Road,) will be subject to ine lane closure and traffic contral from 29 Sept. (as below.)

Slip repair works begin Monday 29 September on Scenic Drive, Waiatarua between West Coast Road and Piha Road. For the first week we expect most works will take place without lane closures. From Monday 6 October there will be lane closures in place, managed by Stop/Go during the workday. Whenever possible we will maintain two-lanes after hours, or traffic lights will be installed.
